41st Annual Olde Tyme Christmas in Harpers Ferry

You are invited to the 41st annual Olde Tyme Christmas Celebration in historical Harpers Ferry, where you can enjoy the popular activities and events offered in "Christmas Past" celebrations and also some new events. The Town will be arrayed in fragrant green garlands, red bows, and twinkling lights, which give a modern but warm touch to the 1860 living history village. On each weekend from December 2^nd through December 11th, shops and streets will be filled with special treats for the enjoyment of visitors of all ages: musical performances, puppet shows, storytelling, visits with Santa, caroling, and much more. Located only an hour train-ride or drive from Washington, DC, Harpers Ferry offers a traditional Christmas celebration that will charm and delight you, your family, and friends!

The seal is presented to businesses that go beyond product and service quality to set the highest standards in environmental sustainability and social justice, and work to solve, rather than create, environmental and social problems.

To be considered for the Seal of Approval and earn a listing in the annual National Green Pages™, businesses complete a rigorous screening process to ensure they meet Green America’s standards for the environment, community and labor.

Tenfold Fair Trade Collection is known for its unique collection of creative, fairly traded, eco-friendly products from all over the world. Many of the products they offer their customers are made of recycled materials. They are committed to maintaining a small carbon footprint by their use of recycled paper products and their purchase of carbon offsets. They have used local pine to build their store space. Tenfold has dedicated themselves to offer only fairly traded products that are either Fair Trade Certified or purchased from wholesalers that are members of the Fair Trade Federation.

World Fair Trade Day Coffee Break 2012

World Fair Trade Day (WFTD) 2012 was a huge success with hundreds of events nationwide. WFTD events ranged from community events to fair trade tastings at local coops and Whole Foods stores. Dedicated fair trade brands like Alaffia, Alter-Eco, Dr. Bronner's Magic Soaps, Guayaki, Equal Exchange, and Maggies Organics all supported hundreds of events last week.
